OTi–6889 USB Host/Device and Memory Card Interface Controller


The OTi-6889 is a high-quality IC controller developed to offer digital data connectivity for a variety of applications, especially for audio applications. The connectivity of OTi-6889 includes USB Host/Device (USB 2.0 Full Speed) and SD/MMC cards. The controller also offers comprehensive data and command interfaces, , such as Bitstream, I2C, I2S, UART, SPI and GPIOs, to work with audio decoders or MCUs.

The USB interface of OTi-6889 supports auto-detecting Host and Device functions, complying with Mass Storage Class (Bulk Only/CBI) and Audio Class (Isochronous) specifications. The PC Link function is enabled by the USB Device function and Audio Class driver.

To facilitate software update of the system with OTi-6889 built in, OTi-6889 supports ISP (In-System Programming). New software can be loaded into an audio system and overwrite old software via the USB host socket enabled by OTi-6889.
